As winter (and Christmas) draw near, we can’t forget about our beloved friends! Here are some safety tips to keep our pets healthy as the weather gets colder.
- What better way to combat the cold than to start a nice fire in the hearth! But make sure to put a gate around the fireplace, and avoid letting your pets play near it. The last thing we would want is some singed fur and burned paws!
- We all know that when the ice appears the snow plows won’t be far behind! While the spray of salt is great for the road, it’s not so great for our four legged friends. Not only can the salt be very irritating for their paws, it can also be toxic if ingested. Try to avoid walking in places that have a lot of salt on the ground, and be sure to wipe off your dog’s paws after each walk.
