Dog Boarding · Chantilly, VA

Dog boarding in Chantilly, VA —
Structure, routine, and a veterinarian on-site.

Dogs thrive on routine. At Nova Pets, every boarding dog follows a structured daily schedule — consistent feeding times, regular exercise, rest periods, and evening wind-down. Our facility spans 5,000 square feet with a large outdoor play area. Any change in health, appetite, or behavior is assessed by clinical staff — not guessed at by a kennel employee. Senior dogs and special needs welcome.

What dog owners say about boarding at Nova Pets.

★★★★★

“First time coming to this location for dog boarding. Super easy check-in. Clean facility. Very big area, so dogs have plenty of space. My dog was here for 10 days. Very good price. When picking up my dog, she was calm coming back to me — usually when I pick her up from a dog boarding like PetSmart hotel, she would be extremely anxious. Here at Nova Pets, she was calm. I can tell it was a stress-free boarding environment for my dog Felicity.”

“This will be year 9 of boarding my dogs with Nova Pets. Despite moving a bit further away, I continue to bring my dog to Nova Pets because the facility allows for a comfortable stay. My dog was rescued so it's especially important that he receives individual care. He did not do well with men, did not do well with baths and was not okay with being picked-up — this is all a non-issue at Nova Pets which really speaks to the level of care the staff shows our fur babies. Overall the best pet boarding in the area!”

“Nova Pets Health is my go-to boarding facility! My bulldog loves being there and is treated so well. I'm so thankful for Nova Pets' flexible schedule and willingness to accommodate my boarding needs. My dog does not do well with dog sitters in the home, so it is an absolute breath of fresh air to hear that he is a welcome and beloved customer at Nova Pets.

“I have never had trouble making a reservation for my dog to board at the Center. The staff members are very friendly and affectionate towards my dog. I rest easy knowing there are veterinary services on site.

“Our dogs (and the humans) love Nova Pets! We used both the vet services and their boarding. Both dogs happily took their shots because they knew EZ Cheez was the reward and came home worn out from boarding. Highly recommend — everyone who works there is thoughtful and kind.”

Why Nova Pets

Great boarding. Medical backup.
No compromise on either.

Most boarding facilities are just boarding facilities. Most veterinary practices don't board. Nova Pets does both — and does them properly. The boarding team focuses on your dog's comfort, routine, and happiness. The veterinary team is right next door if anything changes. That partnership is what gives owners genuine peace of mind — not just reassurance.

That's the difference between leaving your dog at a facility and leaving your dog with a veterinary team that also happens to have exceptional boarding.

Veterinarian on-site
Dr. Masood and his team are here during boarding hours. Your dog is never far from professional medical care.
Hospital-grade cleanliness
Our standards come from running a veterinary practice, not a boarding business. The bar is higher.
Family-owned since 2001
We're not a franchise. The same team that's been here since 2001 knows your dog by name.
Personalized from day one
Every dog gets a care plan built around their personality, preferences, and health needs before they arrive.

Daily life

A structured daily routine —
because dogs thrive on consistency.

Whether your dog is a social butterfly or a creature of quiet comfort, we build their day around who they are — not a one-size-fits-all schedule.

Three daily outdoor breaks
Off-leash time in our secure outdoor area. Fresh air, exercise, and room to decompress.
Supervised socialization
Dogs who enjoy company get structured interaction with compatible dogs and our staff.
One-on-one attention
For anxious, sensitive, or shy dogs, our team provides patient, gentle care focused on building trust and reducing stress.
Medication management
If your dog takes medications, we administer them on schedule with the same precision as our veterinary patients.
Regular updates available
We're available if you want to check in. You'll never feel out of the loop.

Before you arrive

Free meet-and-greet —
with a complimentary health exam.

New boarding clients are invited to schedule a free meet-and-greet before their first stay. Your dog meets the team, sees the facility, and receives a complimentary health exam — so we know exactly what to expect and how to provide the right level of care during their stay.

1
Facility walkthrough
Your dog explores the space, meets the staff, and gets familiar with their environment before their first night. No surprises on drop-off day.
2
Complimentary health exam
Dr. Masood performs a quick health check to make sure your dog is healthy and ready to be around other pets. If any vaccinations are outstanding, we can handle them here.
3
Care plan setup
We learn your dog's personality, preferences, dietary needs, and any special instructions — so nothing is left to guesswork when they arrive.
